Wishing I could post more anonymously

E and I are relatively open people. I'm assuming that comes across in our writing, but to explain: we are folks who reach out quite a bit to those around us. I say this because when we started writing here we reached out to those that we knew at the time (as in, we didn't yet really know anyone in blogland.) That included family and close friends. Some of those folks are loyal readers, and some aren't. That isn't the problem in this case. The problem is that I sometimes have difficulty airing my "dirty laundry" because folks IRL know those about whom I feel compelled to complain.

That being so, coupled with a seeming inability to write protected posts on blogger... I'll just have to say that I'm having some difficulties lately dealing with some folks in my life that I do really love quite a bit. Being pregnant and far away from everyone that we love IRL is taking is toll on me. And, with the laws the way they are in our home state, we just won't be changing our situation any time soon.

I wish I could share how I'm feeling with you all because you are all so supportive. With IRL folks out there, though, I'm afraid I'm left feeling a bit more isolated and unable to talk about the things on my mind...

I know I've not said anything, really, but thanks for "listening".

Sara, I'm sorry you're going through a rough time right now. I know how you feel about not being able to always openly blog and how frustrating that can be. I hope things turn around for you or that you fine some peace with the situation you are in.

I hear you. And know we are supporting you, even though you cannot fully share.

I struggle with this too. When I first started my blog, I really didn't understand what a community there is, so when I started, I invited all my friends and fam to check it out. Now we are in the TTC process again, and I can't say a word. I suppose I could, but we always have this worry about saying something too soon, and then miscarrying. Anyway, long story short, I know how you feel.

I keep my blog pretty private from those that I know most. & I'm glad for that for this reason.
I'm sorry you're struggling. I hope you find another outlet if it can't be here.
Big hug.

It's such a difficult line to tread. Have you considered moving to Wordpress? The whole blog archive can be transferred very easily, and the password protect thing is really easy to use. If you want a hand with that, give us a shout, or feel free to offload via email. Take care.

I really understand your post. We just went through the same thought process and ultimately decided to have 2 blogs. wordpress is for just baby stuff and blogger is for our family and friends. I don't know if you want that much technology, but it has been emotionally freeing for us. Also, although I have never commented before, just wanted to let you know that I have loved reading your blog.

i second vee! move to wordpress! and i understand your situation. i'm completely open on my blog, with links to it on other sites i have and in our local paper. it really couldn't be more public. but i decided to wear my heart on my sleeve and i have to follow through. venting is difficult when you have a forum for anyone you know to see. i hope you find a way to either talk about your difficulties here or find another freeing, albeit private, outlet. i'm sorry love and wish you much peace with everything. oxx

3rd: wp.

meanwhile, i understand. when i came out, i was silent about it on my very public blog for two years.

that's why i started my ttc blog rather anonymously.

i hope that your heart is eased soon, and that you allow yourself the freedom to say what you need to say, wherever you need to say it.

I feel the EXACT same way sometimes. Wishing I could use my blog to vent, or air dirty laundry. But I've got local family and friends I don't want knowing my business. I've thought about keeping a private blog where I can just vent.

If there was one thing I could do differently re: blogging, it would have been to have it be anonymous. I hear you.
